Since 2001, We are a charismatic and laic community in the Catholic church
Communaute Du Mont Carmel (CMC) is a charismatic and laic (non clerical) community from the charismatic renewal movement in the Catholic church. What determines this charismatic movement is to let the power of the Holy Spirit manifest itself and to value the gifts of the Holy Spirit or charisma according to the Pentecost episode. CMC ministry , composed of committed laymen, was created by Brother Philippe Kassi AKA on February 1st 2000 at the Saint Ambroise du Jubile Parish in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire (Africa). Its mission is to bring man out of misery through the Word of God through the change of life and mentality for a prosperous life in Christ. In 2001, at an evangelization session organized by CMC, Minister Pau-lAnasthasie Kone also experienced the power of the Holy Spirit and gave herself up to the Lord for real change of life. After 5 years of restoration and training in the Lord, she felt the need to respond to the call of the Lord: the total abandon and consecration to God in order to serve him full time. As a graduate of the National University of Cocody, Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire ( Africa) with the Masters degree in Philosophy, she occupied the post of commercial Director of a company when the Lord called upon her for sanctity of life (chastity) and a change of life.
So after 5 years of preparation, training supervised by the General Moderator of the Community, she devoted herself to follow the Christ, to serve him full time as a missionary. After her religious marriage to brother Samuel Lancine Kone, also touched by the community life, and living in San Diego, California , they both committed themselves to the mission of the Lord in San Diego as spiritual leaders and Pastors of the community. So, on February 3rd, 2007, after an evangelization session within the French Speaking African community of San Diego, CMC USA, the USA section of CMC was born. Like the first Christian community described in the Book of the Acts of the Apostle, Chapter 2:42-47, Communaute Du Mont Carmel USA is God’s desire in response to a specific need of His children. It is out of this fact that we justify its basic principle drawn from the Gospel of Mathew, Chapter 6:33: “Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you;” out of which comes the charisma, the spirituality, the vision and the mission of the Community.
